Bambi Kindergarten is a not for profit community based mobile preschool, offering early education and care services for children aged 3-6 years. It was originally established by the wives of the soldiers serving in Korea as both a support centre for themselves and an early childhood education centre for their children. Since then the preschool has opened it’s doors to the children of civilian families, and with the employment of trained staff and implementation of programmed activities the preschool has become a licensed preschool service by the Community Services. Through this department the preschool receives subsidies from the NSW State Government. Bambi Kindergarten became an Incorporated Association in 1988 which formalised the preschool’s “not-for-profit” status.
Since 1952, Bambi Kindergarten has successfully helped many families prepare their children for school, our professional and passionate educators have developed an exceptional play based learning program that makes the transition to school a positive and nurturing experience and inspires a love for learning, which will shape the way the children learn at school and for their future lives. Today we relish in an exceptionally recognised reputation for providing the best education for children with highly regarded educators. Bambi Kindergarten operates as a community service- working in partnership with a management committee, local parents and community members, who actively promote and encourage community involvement and voluntary assistance. OUR VISIONEarly childhood education as an essential stage in a child’s development and preparation for life. We encourage the learning process to be a partnership between staff, children, families and the community, where the diversity, uniqueness and creativity of each child is valued and nurtured. The positive learning environment provides a service where play is the basis of learning. The child-initiated focus develops children’s independence, imagination, respect for themselves and others and their living environment. • NEW LOCATION •We are now taking expressions of interest at our new location OPERATIONAL HOURSVarroville- All Years All children MUST be independently toileted.
